The "Uzushio Cruise" departs from Fukura Port on Awaji Island and takes about one hour to experience the spectacular Naruto Straits. The cruise is a must-see tourist attraction because of its beautiful blue sky, historic islets, and above all, the marvelous whirlpools unique to the Naruto Straits. Especially in spring and fall, there is a chance to observe the giant whirlpools, which can reach a diameter of about 30 meters. However, the Uzushio cannot always be seen, so we recommend that you check the timetable before departure and visit during the time when the Uzushio is most likely to appear.
